The SC Department of Natural Resources is now accepting applications for turkey hunting on public land until Tuesday, March 1 at 5 p.m.
A non-refundable fee of $5 is charged for all applicants in the Multi-site Turkey Hunt and $5 for youth applicants in the Multi-site Turkey Hunt for Youth.
After the selection process, only the main applicant will receive an email notification of the completion of the drawing.
In addition to the required hunting license, big game license and WMA license, all turkey hunters, including youth, must carry turkey tags while hunting. Labels can be purchased online, over the phone or from license vendors and will be mailed out beginning mid-February. The labels will also be available at the counter of the SCDNR regional offices from the end of February.
Youth under 16 and Lifetime/Senior/Free/Handicap license holders can receive a free set of tags upon request each year.
