Crews arrive in Fairbanks today to help fight wildfires in Alaska

A plane of 84 firefighters and support personnel landed in Fairbanks today to help Alaska battle the numerous wildfires across the state. We are grateful to all the crews who answered the call to come to Alaska to support the work already underway by our amazing local forestry crews!

Firefighters and other resources continue to be added daily as Alaska battles a series of very difficult fires during a hot, dry summer. More than 1.8 million acres in Alaska have burned so far this season, including more than 185,000 acres burned yesterday alone.
