The Sentinel The equine products brand will celebrate Veterans Day in partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) to provide support to those benefiting from equine therapy.

Sentinel, manufactured by Kent Nutrition Group under the regional Kent and Blue Seal brands, has made an initial investment of $ 100,000 to help expand WWP’s efforts with therapeutic equine riding, according to a press release.

Riding sessions can help warriors overcome the physical and emotional wounds of war and equip them to achieve their highest ambition, the statement said.

“Wounded Warrior Project strives to meet warriors and their families where they are on the road to recovery, including through equine therapy,” said Brea Kratzert Todd, vice president of resource development for Wounded Warrior Project. “The support of Kent Nutrition Group will enable them to take on their next mission in life.

The Sentinel brand financial investment will connect more warriors to equine therapy sessions at more equestrian centers across the country. In addition, Sentinel equine products will be provided as in-kind donations to therapeutic equestrian centers, the statement said.

In 2021, WWP sent more than 350 referrals of warriors and their families, resulting in more than 1,500 therapy sessions. The Sentinel brand plans to support additional riding workshops and events with the WWP in 2022.
