Selena Gomez shines a light on Mental Health Awareness Month with support from Serendipity Brands
Star Selena Gomez intends to draw attention to Mental Health Awareness Month in May. the Only murders in the building star is a prominent business owner with her makeup line Rare Beauty and her partnership with Serendipity3 and Serendipity Brands. The legendary dessert company is supporting Gomez’s efforts with its own contribution to its Rare Impact Fund next month.

The Hulu star created the Rare Impact Fund when she launched her Rare Beauty brand with a mission to raise $100 million over the next decade to help provide people with access to mental health services. Gomez hopes that by raising awareness about all aspects of mental health, the stigma attached to these issues will be reduced.
Gomez became a co-owner and investor in Serendipity Brands the same year and launched her ice cream flavor, Cookies & Cream Remix, with iconic restaurant Serendipity3 adding the “Selena Sundae” to their menu in 2021. Part of sundae sales went to the Rare Impact Fund.
“It’s been such a simple, natural partnership and it’s wonderful to see how they support causes I believe in,” Gomez told Good Morning America in 2021. “They’ll be donating 10% of the proceeds from my new sundae on menu to my Rare Impact Fund, which is committed to giving people access to the resources they need to support their mental health.
Serendipity Brands supports the Rare Impact Fund with donations in May
To support Gomez and her mission, Serendipity Brands is donating $1 for every pint of ice cream and merchandise sold to the Rare Impact Fund throughout the month of May.
“Raising awareness about mental health is something very personal to me,” Gomez said in a statement. “I’m so proud that Serendipity Brands is committed to supporting the Rare Impact Fund and helping people gain much-needed access to mental health resources.

Gomez’s partnership with the decadent dessert brand may have been inspired by her love for the iconic New York restaurant and their lavish candy menu.
“My memories of Serendipity go back to when I was a kid and first came to New York,” Gomez noted, according to PRNewswire. “I have always loved this restaurant.
