Dhavlikar urges people to sell item Chovot, Matoli at Swayampurna Bazaar
PONDA: Swaypurna Chaturthi Bazaar the special initiative of the state government was inaugurated in Rathamal Kapileshwarim Kavlem today at the hands of Minister of Energy Sudin Dhavlikar while Water Resources Subash Shirodkar inaugurated it in Shiroda today morning while another Chovot Bazaar is expected to be opened at Airport Road in Ponda Market at the hands of Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik.
In a ceremony held at Swaypurna Chovot Bazaar, present on the dais were Kavlem Administrator Panchayat Viba Kavlekar, ZP Ganapat Naik and Head Gaurish Kuttikar Swaypurna Mitra of various Panchayats, former Sarpanch Rajesh Kavlekar and newly appointed members elected members of the Panchayat of Kavlem Panchayat were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Energy Minister Sudin Dhavlikar urged villagers from various Panchayats including Kavlem, Marcaim, Durbhat, Wadi Talavalim and Bandora Panchayats to support local vendors by purchasing various commodities, agricultural fruits needed in Chovot, including Matoli items from local vendors.
He said that taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat, Goa CM Pramod Sawant has launched this initiative in various places in Goa to encourage local vendors of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
A large number of villagers were present for the function.
