A real commitment to supporting the Pat Cronin Foundation

A Liberal and National Government of Matt Guy will fund up to $275,000 for the Pat Cronin Foundation to expand the important work it does in Victorian schools.

The vision of the Pat Cronin Foundation is to end the senseless violence that devastates families and communities, by teaching their Be Wise program to schools and sports clubs in Victoria.

Education sessions are an important resource for school-aged children and young adults to learn how to identify and prevent violence, and stop the loose punch.

The Liberals’ and Nationals’ commitment will see the program expand, allowing more sessions to be offered to secondary schools in Victoria in 2023.

Youth Minister Dr. Matt Bach said the Pat Cronin Foundation has delivered an important message to young people across the state.

“It’s important to teach tens of thousands of Victorians in hundreds of schools and organizations that violence is never the answer.”

“This funding is a really important commitment to support the foundation, because violence has no place in our communities.”

Eltham Liberal candidate Jason McClintock said the charity and its cause were well known in the community.

“A terrible event was the start of this brilliant programme, and it deserves continued support to have a real impact on more young Victorians.”

“Only Liberals and Nationals will support the expansion of the Pat Cronin Foundation to teach more young people its important lesson.”
