ENOC Group realizes AED 6.1 million savings from energy and resource management projects in 2021

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – October 04, 2021) Emirates National Oil Company Group (ENOC Group), the official integrated energy partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, achieved AED 6.1 million in savings through energy and resource management (E&RM) projects in 2021; recording cumulative savings of AED 108 million thanks to innovative energy efficiency measures implemented across the Group over the past five years.

The announcement was made ahead of the 23rd Water, Energy, Technology and Environment (WETEX) Expo and Dubai Solar Power Show to be held at Expo 2020 Dubai. .

The ENOC Group has worked consistently to deliver sustainable value and peak performance to all of its stakeholders. This achievement highlights the significant progress made by the ENOC group in applying energy and resource management strategies to all of its operations by adopting sustainable best practices. The Group’s E&RM projects include the implementation of photovoltaic solar panels at retail sites and various operations, in addition to LED retrofits, and the use of innovative sustainable solutions, such as evaporative cooling and much more. .

ENOC’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai aligns with the event’s theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” with a strong focus on sustainability. The Group has built a state-of-the-art pavilion on the Expo 2020 Dubai site. Under the theme of ‘Reimagine Energy’, the pavilion was built to meet the sustainability and design standards put forward by the Expo 2020 Dubai team, incorporating legacy into the construction plan with a focus on local and recyclable materials.

The Group has also built a service station of the future with an innovative design on the Expo 2020 Dubai site, which will support the logistics needs of the Expo 2020 fleet. It is the first service station in the world to operate the power of renewable energy and marks a new era for the future of fuel. The resort was inspired by Ghaf, the national tree of the United Arab Emirates known for its durability and deep roots that make it tough even in harsh weather conditions. The station incorporates several sustainability features, many of which are the first to be installed in any gas station in the world.
